RESUMO
The stabihzing and antistabilizing solutions to the algebraic Riccati equation (ARE), which appear in problems in continuous and discrete time, are studied. The relation connecting these solutions is presented. Using this relation, an asymptotic expansion of a stabihzing solution to the ARE in a neighborhood of singular point (at which there is no this solution) is constructed.
