RESUMO
The changes of activity of acid phosphatases of hydrobionts of different taxa, and DNAase of the snail Viviparus viviparus L. as a response to acute intoxication by heavy metals, benzine and phenol were studied. Enzyme activity periodically changed depending on duration of the toxic impact. Shape of the enzyme activity curves in the acute experiment was similar, independently on species and toxicant. The dynamics of the enzymatic activity is supposed to be a component of the nonspecific adaptation syndrome of hydrobionts. It could serve as a reliable basis for estimation of the integrated toxic pollution of water.
