RESUMO

The peculiarities of copper accumulation in the shells, hepatopancreas, gills, gonads, sexual cells, and perivisceral fluid of Mytilus galloprovincialis cultivated in the Black Sea in summer and autumn (taking into account the sex of mollusks) are discussed in the paper. Possible reasons of the difference in the capability of mollusk tissues to accumulate copper were analyzed. The contribution of each studied organ and all tissues of mollusks to the total content of copper accumulated in the mollusk was determined.
