RESUMO

The article presents a summary of the data characterizing the levels and development of lipid peroxidation (LP) and activity of the cellular antioxidant protective system in fishes, including that in their ontogeny and under action of ambient factors. An attention is given to the possibility of purposeful (artificial) influence on LP.
