RESUMO

Methodical approaches to the calculation of the absorbed radiation dose rate of the emerged plants (helophytes) are proposed with account of heterogeneity of the habitat and the γ-radiation attenuation by the water masses. It was shown that the dose loads on the plant organism caused by 137Cs radiation are 3-7 times higher than only on the above-ground organs. The absorbed dose rate of the helophytes' roots in the investigated reservoirs was 1.5-2 times higher than the rhizomes, and 6-10 times higher than that of the above-ground organs. The contribution of external irradiation to the total absorbed dose was 76-90%.
