Numerical Simulation of Twisted Flows in the Channel of a Chimney Stack

RESUMO

The results of computational investigations of the influence of operational and design factors on the distribution of the velocities and concentrations of a gas flux in different sections of a chimney stack of a thermal electric power plant are presented. A comparison of various conditions of output of combustion products is made. The factors that influence the mixing of combustion products and equalization of velocity fields over the height of the chimney stack have been revealed. Sections for installing measuring systems, the degree of the nonuniformity of the fields of velocities and concentrations in which allow one to obtain reliable results, have been determined. Recommendations on selection and installing of measuring systems are given.
