RESUMO

The decelerating flow characteristics in a flow-through duct of a ramjet precombustion diffuser model have been considered. The possibility of improving the characteristics of the flow in front of the combustion chamber has been studied. A rectangular flow-through duct has been considered. The investigations were carried out on a rectangular three-stage intake model with a precombustion diffuser (isolator) at the Mach number of incoming flow (M = 3–4.9) in the SVS-2 wind tunnel at TsAGI and on a rectangular precombustion diffuser model at M = 2–3.2 in the TSSM wind tunnel at TsAGI. In both models, the ducts were divided by longitudinal separating partitions of various configurations. As a result of the experimental studies, the characteristics of the flow in the flow-through duct of the precombustion diffuser were revealed when partitioning the duct. The dependences of the main flow parameters in front of the combustion chamber on the structural features of the precombustion diffuser partitioning were obtained. It was shown that the presence of a gas-dynamic connection between the partitioned parts of the channel leads to significant alignment of the flow parameters at the end of the precombustion diffuser, increases the stability of its operation, and in some cases leads to the extension of the range of channel starting.
