RESUMO

The mixing layer structure of a jet in a closed-circuit wind tunnel with an open test section is studied by advanced methods of numerical modeling and experimental measurements. The experimental results are compared with the numerical solutions to the Navier–Stokes equations and boundary layer theory for a free plane-parallel turbulent incompressible jet.
