SOME DYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF DIGITAL MULTIRATE CONTROL SYSTEMS
RESUMO
Dynamic properties of a digital control system are analyzed, taking into account its multirateness, i.e., usage of different sampling rates to update signals. Widely used cases of multirateness are considered, namely, two digital systems of different sample rates linked by a data bus, usage of different sample rates for different signals inside a control system computer, and usage of different algorithms for one signal update in different sample times. The effect of these factors on transfer functions and frequency response characteristics is evaluated for typical elements of a control system, i.e., gain, integrator, and aperiodic filter. One channel and redundant architectures are considered. Stability domains are calculated for a triplex multirate control system.
