EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF HEAT TRANSFER IN THE INTERACTION OF WEAKLY UNDEREXPANDED SUPERSONIC JETS WITH A FLAT BARRIER

RESUMO

The experimental results of an investigation of the gas-dynamic and geometric characteristics of weakly underexpanded supersonic jets and the heat transfer from such jets with a flat barrier located at different angles to the jet axis and at different distances from the nozzle section are presented. The jets had a stagnation temperature of T0 = 1300 K and Mach numbers of M = 1 and 2 at the nozzle section. The experimental data were obtained for small-scale models in a modernized gas-generator setup wind tunnel generating high-temperature jets based on alcohol combustion in oxygen.
