DETERMINING HINGE MOMENTS OF THE MAIN LANDING GEAR FUSELAGE DOOR BY MEANS OF NUMERICAL FLOW SIMULATION

RESUMO

The numerical investigations of the flow around the released fuselage door of the main landing gear by means of computational fluid dynamics solvers based on solving the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations are presented. The influence of the mesh resolution, geometry model quality, and interference with the fuselage, wing, and main strut on the door of aerodynamic loads is found.
