RESUMO
The efficiency of surface-effect craft and their place among other means of transportation are examined. The principal problems encountered in designing these machines (improving the aerodynamics, safety (stability) of motion, the problem of starting) and also various aspects of mathematical simulation of hydrofoils near a surface are analyzed. Possible approaches to solving the principal problems in designing new-generation surface-effect craft are discussed.
