RESUMO
Experimental results on the hydrodynamic performance of a hydrofoil moving above a flat and an undulated surface are presented. The hydrodynamic parameters for foils that are rectangular in the plane, have different aspect ratios and move at different angles of attack at different distances from a flat surface and from a surface consisting of sinusoidal waves of different length and height are determined. The Strouhal number dependence of the foil's lift coefficient in moving above an undulated surface is determined. It is shown that the lift of the foil is additionally increased by the surface undulations.
