RESUMO

First comprehensive data on species composition of algae in the soils of meadow multiherbaceous steppe and flood-plain phytocoenoses of «Mykhailivska Tsilyna» are provided. 107 species (109 infraspecific taxa including those containing the nomenclatural types of species) belonging to Cyanophyla (14 species), Euglenophyta (1), Chlorophyta (58), Xanthophyta (27) and Bacillariophyta (7) were found. Among them, three species (Chlorococcum vacuolatum Starr, Excentrochloris gigas Pasch. and Euglena acus Ehr.) are the first recorded for the soils of Ukraine. The algal flora of the meadow steppe of the reserve is characterized by prevalence of representatives of Chlorococcaceae, Neochloridaceae, Pleurochloridaceae, and a low diversity of blue-green algae. The complex of native algal flora of the meadow steppe soils includes 48 species. Species composition of algae found in the reserve represents about 83 % of species of algae revealed in meadow steppe soils of the Left-bank Forest Steppe of Ukraine, and about 36 % of species recorded in all types of soil of this territory.
