Carotenoid Composition of Fodder Microalgae

The quantitative carotenoid composition of microalgae used as a fodder for bivalve mollusks larvae is studied in the current work. It is determined that carotenoids of microalgae Isochrysis galbana Parke, Dunaliella viridis Teod., Tetraselmis suecica (Kylin) Butch. and Phaeodactylum tricornutum Bohl. are represented by six fractions. The overall carotenoid content in microalgae depends on the culture growth phase.
