This paper establishes a transient flow model of dual fractal media created by embedding tree-shaped fractal networks into a fractal porous media. The physical and mathematical models for power-law unsteady flow in the dual fractal media are established and the mathematical model is solved using the Laplace transform and Stehfest numerical inversion method. Five flow regimes for pressure type curves can be established. Type curves are dominated by fracture, matrix fractal parameters, and fluid properties. The influences of different fractal factors and power-law fluid parameters on pressure transient responses are discussed. Different parameters have special influences on type curves. Based on good agreement between the predictions of the model and the well testing data obtained in the present work, we argue that the semianalytical dual fractal modeling is also suitable for heavy oil reservoirs and may provide a practical method to solve empirical cases. Power-law fluid flow in dual fractal media is an interesting and challenging topic, and this work is in process. %8 2017-12-11
