The investigations aim to evaluate a simplified analytical model using experimental results obtained from laboratory column tests. The analytical model is based on the integration of the transport equation of particles in a homogeneous porous medium subjected to different hydraulic gradients. The adjustment of the derived analytical solution with experimental results, carried out on several samples under different conditions, allowed us to identify the model parameters using empirical expressions. The results showed mainly that the detachability parameter deceases when fines content increases. In addition, the erosion trigger law has been adapted to the volume erosion and is used to estimate the critical shear stress and the internal erosion coefficient of the studied soil.
