T1 Phytoepiphyton of Green Filamentous Algae of the Cooling Ponds of Thermal and Nuclear Power Stations of Ukraine JF Hydrobiological Journal JO HYD YR 2013 FD 2013-11-20 VO 49 IS 6 SP 43 OP 54 K1 phytoepiphyton K1 species composition K1 green filamentous algae K1 cooling ponds. AB Long-term original data on epiphytic algae occurring in the fouling of green filamentous algae in the cooling ponds of thermal and nuclear power stations of Ukraine were generalized and analyzed for the first time. On the whole, 133 algae species represented by 142 infraspecific taxa were registered during the period of investigations. It has been found that in different cooling ponds phytoepiphyton of green filamentous algae was closely similar in its floristic spectra, in the spectra of leading families and genera, in its species composition, in the number of species, and also in the complex of dominant species. This was determined by the similarity of the conditions of its occurrence, including the type of substratum and ecological characteristics of green filamentous algae.
