Complex dielectric permittivity in the millimeter band was found to change suggesting that DNA exposed to radiation is characterized by the reduced ability of ordering the structure of water shell as compared to native DNA. The observed decrease in the degree of DNA hydration is explained by significant radiation-induced changes in its secondary structure, as judged from the analysis of IR spectra and pronounced DNA disintegration revealed by electrophoresis. %8 2007-03-19
