T1 Estimation of Implementation Errors Effect on Characteristics of Pseudorandom Radar Signal JF Telecommunications and Radio Engineering JO TRE YR 2003 FD 2004-04-20 VO 60 IS 1&2 OP 9 AB Optimization of signal characteristics is considered in the radar systems with continuous radiation and pseudorandom phase modulation. Highly noisy conditions, in which such systems operate, determine the requirements that should be met by the signals being studied. The presence of the multiplicative noise makes it difficult to design optimal algorithms of echo-signal processing. The use of signals with a wide base and a complex modulation type demands elaboration of the equipment that will ensure precision accuracy of the signal generating and processing. The investigation of errors introduced into the signal in the generating stage and their influence on the resultant characteristics of the system as a whole has shown a possibility to achieve trade-off variants of the equipment construction. Error classification is given. An effective means for the construction of the maximum allowable error surfaces is proposed.
