T1 Application of the Partial Reflections Technique to Studying the Response of the Lower Ionosphere to Strong Distant Earthquakes JF Telecommunications and Radio Engineering JO TRE YR 1997 FD 1997-04-01 VO 51 IS 4 SP 92 OP 97 K1 earthquake K1 ionosphere K1 radio noise K1 partial reflections K1 wavelike disturbance AB The partial reflections technique has been employed to study the generated or amplified in the mid latitude lower ionosphere after strong earthquakes. The effect of earthquakes on the characteristics of radio noise at frequencies f = 2−4 MHz has been studied in dependence of the power, distance, location (on the surface or under water) and depth of the earthquake.
