A change of 0.1 erg·cm−2·s−1 in solar wind energy flow density results in dP variation by ∼50 μs, with the retardation of ∼10-35 days (the less is the energy, the larger is the retardation). A phenomenological mechanism is considered, in which dP variation observed can be explained by the change of the type of atmospheric circulation upon the arrival of corpuscular flow energy into the auroral zone. %8 1999-10-01
