The report presents detailed descriptions of a technique of determining local heat transfer coefficients on electrically heated metal foils, which constitute heat transfer surfaces. Plat plates and other geometries were studied, including some with rough surfaces. To increase accuracy, corrections for the thermal conductivity of the metal, for heat dissipation into the plastic base, and for radiation were introduced.
