Failures of the Turbines Condenser Tubes with the Direct Inflow of Make-up Water into Condenser

Abstract

Higher ammonia concentrations in some parts of the condenser, and the higher content of oxygen introduced with make-up water, leads to condenser tube damage. The paper presents a calculation of possible ammonia concentrations in the condensate, and analyzes the possibility of reducing the oxygen content by thermal deaeration in the condenser.
