ABSTRACT
Average and timeresolved measurements of heat flux are obtained over a circular cylinder and a flat plate in pulsating flow. The flow field is monitored by hotwire measurements. It is found that flow pulsation does not affect the mean heat transfer. However, pulsation in regions of turbulent flow increase significantly the heat transfer.
