ABSTRACT

In this paper the authors present the analysis of potential geothermal-water exploitation with the central heat source consists of a geothermal heat exchanger and a peak-demand boiler. For the given heat receivers the total thermal-power demand as divided into two portions, i.e. the geothermal power and peak-boiler rating, is estimated herein. Moreover, the graphs that enable to estimate the total heat demand as that broken up into the geothermal heat and the peak-boiler heat are drawn up too. These, in turn, make the analysis of ecological benefits possible. Such environmental benefits are produced thanks to the geothermal energy utilization and reduced fossil fuel consumption. Besides, the analysis enables to estimate the impact of the volume flow of geothermal water and its temperature, including the temperature of the network return-water, on the ecological benefits.
