ABSTRACT
The influence of rotation on the mass and heat transfer in a turbulent two-phase flow is discussed. Expressions for additional correlations for the generation and diffusion of turbulence are obtained. The impact of the Coriolis force in the second-order closure model for turbulence is taken into account. The comparison between predictions and data for mass and heat transfer in a system with rotation is subsequently presented. Results show that rotation dominates the heat and mass transfer in rotor-blade type, turbulent two-phase flows
