Abstract

A great variety of the diagnostics methods used 1n low-temperature plasma physics and technique 1s discussed. Emphasis 1s laid on the analysis of physical fundamentals, applicability and restrictions of different methods used to determine the composition, temperature, radiation characteristics and other parameters of plasma as well as on the development of measurement methods applying laser diagnostics, i.e. interferometry, absorption and other applications of coherent radiation, in the IR spectrum, including. Detailed references to the earlier developed traditional methods for measuring plasma parameters are also cited.
