Abstract

The paper deals with the analysis of convective pattern formation in a layer of evaporating liquid with a shear flow. The convective structures are formed due to cooling from the top and are subjected to mean velocity shear. The problem considered pertains to the formation of the near-surface thermal boundary layers in the ocean and atmosphere boundary layers.
