Краткое описание

A mathematical model is proposed to describe the diffraction of a plane nonsinusoidal electromagnetical wave by a dielectric layer placed on a dielectric halfspace. Compact analytical expressions have been derived the to describe diffraction process in time domain. The physical characteristics inherent to the transient process under investigation, are analyzed for the possibility of employing the results in interpreting the radar information from subsurface sounding systems.
