MICROWAVE LOSS IN LOW-ABSORPTION DIAMOND-LIKE MATERIALS AT 1 K < T < 300 K THE PHENOMENOLOGICAL SIMULATION
Краткое описание
The development and manufacture of new materials for micro- and nanoelectronics are closely related with the problem of studying the electromagnetic energy loss mechanisms in these materials in the gigahertz band. The suitable technique for determining these mechanisms is an analysis of the temperature dependence of the material loss tangent in the range between cryogenic and room temperatures. In this paper, the phenomenological simulation of the loss in low-absorption materials having a diamond-like crystal lattice is performed basing on experimental data. Experiments were carried out in the frequency range from 60 to 120 GHz at temperatures of 1-300 K. The technique of measuring the energy characteristics of the whispering-gallery mode disk dielectric resonator is applied. As a result, the roles of main loss mechanisms for the materials under study are clarified and the values of basic physical parameters of materials are determined.
