Dispersive Distortions of High-Frequency, Super Wide-Band Radio Signals in the Interplanerary Plasma
Краткое описание
Super wide-band signals (SWB) have for some time been used for remote radio sensing of various media and objects at radio frequencies [1;2]. Application of SWB signals may seem reasonable for radio sounding of planets the Solar system. It is the case where distortions of the sounding signals due to dispersion may appear decisive. Such effects have been treated in paper [3] for the high frequency signals in the terrestrial ionosphere. In the case of SWB signals the form of the radar equation has been discussed in paper [4]. There we aim at estimating the dispersive distortions of high frequency SWB signals that propagate through the interplanet plasma from the Earth to other planets of the Solar system.
