Краткое описание
The complex of microbiological processes of carbon cycle in various types of bottom sediments of the reservoirs of the Volga and Kama rivers was investigated. The processes of methane formation, oxidation, and release were studied. The role of the processes of methane cycle in organic matter decomposition depending on the environmental conditions, on the geographic dislocation of reservoirs, and on the composition of bottom sediments was revealed.
