Meiobenthos of the Profundal Hydrosulfuric Zone of the Black Sea

N. G. Sergeyeva
Institute of Biology of Southern Seas National Academy of Science of Ukraine, Sevastopol, Ukraine

Краткое описание

The organisms testified to the existence of a diverse meiobenthic fauna were revealed over the depth range 470-2250 m in the Black Sea that commonly believed to be lifeless. This fauna is represented by two complexes: the species typical for the Black Sea shelf and the unknown animals endemic to the abyssal hydrosulfuric f zone. Three representatives exemplified this deep-sea fauna are shortly described.
