STUDY AND MODELING OF EFFECTIVE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF BUILDING INSULATOR MATERIALS
Краткое описание
This work presents a theoretical and experimental study of the thermo-physical properties of original insulating materials using palm tree fibers in a cement matrix. Five formulations containing different mass ratios of palm tree fibers were prepared and examined. The thermal conductivity of thermal insulators is usually measured using the box method. The main objective of this paper is to study the effective thermal conductivity of dry insulator materials as a function of mass ratio, to determine the influence of moisture content on the thermal conductivity of our composite, and to write the mathematical models of the effective thermal conductivity of a composite material. The experimental evolution with water content was compared with three theoretical models (parallel model, series model, and Krischer model).
