Краткое описание
The present paper aims at providing an up-to-date review of investigations on mixed-convection heat transfer in simple channels with different orientation of them in space. First of all turbulent mixed convection in vertical tubes, flat and annular channels is analyzed where detailed information on local heat transfer and turbulent transport is presented. Much attention is paid to the analysis of the mixed-convection heat transfer and flow hydrodynamics in the transition region. Also turbulent mixed convection in inclined and horizontal flat channels is reviewed. Here the impact of the stable and unstable density stratification for aiding and opposing flows is highlighted.
