As applied to the problem of noise reduction of reactive jets in aviation engines, an investigation of the effect of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) on velocity and static pressure pulsations was performed. The discharge was created inside an axisymmetrical subsonic nozzle near the nozzle exit section. The investigation was carried out in the jet formed by the nozzle at jet speeds of 80−135 m/s. The data describing the DBD effect on the distribution of the average velocity at the nozzle exit, on the spectra of the velocity and pulsations, and also on the transformation of such an effect as long as we move from the nozzle section, are presented.
