Endothelial Monocyte Activating Factor II Cancels Oxidative Stress and Disorders in Cardiac Hemodynamics Induced by Constitutive NO-Synthase Uncoupling in Hypertension
Краткое описание
The study was aimed at investigating the effect of endothelial monocyte activating factor II (EMAP II) on free radical state of the heart and the blood vessels, restoration of cNOS coupling and cardiac hemodynamics in spontaneously hypertensive rats. It has been revealed that EMAP II quickly normalizes impaired in hypertension constitutive de novo synthesis of NO by restoring cNOS coupling due to combined inhibition of oxidative and nitrosative stress. It resulted in improving of the pumping function of the heart (for example, stroke volume increased by 18.2% and cardiac output − by 22%), as well as decreasing the arterial stiffness by 23.2% and improving the left ventricular relaxation due to decreased 4.7 times myocardial end-diastolic stiffness.
