INFLUENCE OF VISCOUS DISSIPATION AND HEAT GENERATION/ABSORPTION ON AG-WATER NANOFLUID FLOW OVER A RIGA PLATE WITH SUCTION

This paper considers the influence of viscous dissipation and heat generation/absorption on Ag-water nanofluid over a vertical Riga plate under the action of suction. Adequate transformations yield a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and utilizing a fourth-fifth–order Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg technique with a shooting scheme. We obtain a solution of these ODEs. The influence of relevant parameters on nondimensional velocity, temperature and concentration profiles is depicted through graphs and tables. We observe that the modulus of Nusselt number decreases with increase in Prandtl number and suction parameter. Moreover, it is accelerated with increase in Eckert number, volume fraction of nanoparticles and heat generation/absorption parameter. Good agreement is obtained with results published in the literature.
