Algofloristic Zoning of Ukraine

Краткое описание

General approaches and criteria of the floristic zoning are analyzed. Basic principles and criteria for the algofloristic zoning of Ukraine are proposed. A variant of the delimitation of its territory is given. Main characteristics of the taxonomic and floristic diversity of the desmidian and green coccoid algae from Ukrainian fresh waters are discussed. Basic patterns of the regional distribution of these algal groups are also presented. Algofloristic status of the territory of Ukraine is given according to the results of algological studies of Ukraine (with reference to desmids and coccoid chlorophytes) and comparative analysis of the several European countries florae. The territory of Ukraine we considered the East European Algofloristic Province; subdivided into 5 algofloristic subprovinces, 16 algofloristic districts and 26 algofloristic areas. Characterization of different algofloristic chorions up to the AF area is given (with reference to the Prypiat-Desna Algofloristic Subprovince).
