AB Combining a bilayer metal foam block and a confined slot air jet to enhance the heat transfer in the channel is presented in this paper. The height ratio h1/h2, the number of layers, porosity φ, and the material of the metal foam block, as well as the Reynolds number Re of the air jet have great impacts on the heat transfer in the metal foam block of the channel.
