RDA analysis revealed three groups of phenolcarbonic acids according to their effect on phyto-epiphyton development. Among the epiphytic algae the most clear relation with phenolcarbonic acids' content demonstrated Melosira varians Agardh, Cocconeis placentula Ehrenb., Oedogonium sp. st. and Cymbella tumida (Bréb. ex Kütz.)
