The informativity of the experiment resulting in obtaining of images is considered. The Fisher informational operator is used as the natural additive quantitative measure of informativity. The examples of specific results of application of this approach to solving of practical problems are provided - the developed at IRE NAS of Ukraine photoclynometric method of determining the surface geometry and the interferometric method of forming the object image at its observation through the turbulent atmosphere are presented. Brief overview of other results in the sphere of image processing attained by IRE NAS of Ukraine since 1970 is given. %8 2006-05-01
