The D2Q9 model is used in LBM, while the SIMPLE algorithm with QUICK scheme is chosen for FVM. The hybrid methods are fulfilled by dividing the computational domain into the LBM and FVM zones, with a public message-passing zone in between, and only macroscopic velocities are needed to be passed between the two separated zones. A nonequilibrium extrapolation scheme and the finite difference velocity gradient method are used to pass information between the SIMPLE and LBM zones. The proposed methods are used to solve problems with the lid-driven flow, and the results obtained using pure LBM, pure SIMPLE, and the hybrid methods with different schemes agreed with each other very well in different Reynolds numbers. %8 2014-05-19
