Two holes were drilled on the side of the core, which permitted monitoring of the bottom temperature without contacting the core. The results show that the measured temperature distribution inside the ceramic core agreed with the numerical results obtained by using a hybrid method proposed by the authors. It was also confirmed that this measurement system is appropriate for measuring the temperature inside the rotating core.
