AB Aluminum metal matrix composite (AMMCs) is one of the competent materials in aerospace and defence industry among various existing composites. Silicon carbide (2.5 wt.%), magnesium oxide (2.5 wt.%), aluminum oxide (2.5 wt.%) fillers are attempted in this research to improve the mechanical properties of the AA7075 alloy. Single filler-reinforced samples and hybrid filler-reinforced samples are prepared using the double-layer feeding method adopted in the bottom tapping stir casting technique. The mechanical properties of the composite are examined as per ASTM
standard, and distributions of fillers are characterized by means of an optical microscope. A drastic increase in tensile strength (34%), yield strength (45%), and hardness (44%) is shown by the AA7075/MgO/SiC/Al2O3 composite. It is also noticed that the injected microfillers are reasonably distributed over the base matrix with low porosity and low agglomeration that aids in obtaining the improved properties.
