The porous medium is heated from below and cooled from above. The Darcy model with anisotropic permeability is used for porous medium, while two energy equations, each representing the solid and fluid phases separately, have been considered as energy equations. The linear stability theory is used to compute the critical Rayleigh number and the corresponding wavenumber for the onset of convective motion.
