Inverse problem to retrieve heat flux and heat transfer coefficient for a solid pin fin
Краткое описание
In this work, MATLAB's inbuilt tool "Pdepe" in combination with the differential evolution (DE) is used for simultaneously estimating the unknown parameters of longitudinal non-linear 1-D conductive, convective and radiative pin fin for a priori temperature distribution. The heat transfer coefficient, thermal conductivity, and emissivity is assumed to be temperaturedependent. The temperature field for convective and radiative tip has been obtained by Pdepe solver. Experiments are performed and the resulting temperature field obtained was compared with the results of the numerical methods. The numerical approach is verified with the results of literature and found in good agreement. Temperature known a-priori, estimation of unknowns is done by inverse scheme. It was found that the estimated parameters are in unique combination as obtained with DE. The present study is done for the measurement error in the given data. Further, the accuracy and reliably of retrieved parameter have been verified from the reconstruction. It is found that with a known measurement error of 3% in temperature field, error of 1.138% is obtained in reconstructed temperature field, suggesting that the measurement error up to 3% is acceptable for accurate reconstruction.
