RADIATIVE TRANSFER DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE OF SOOTING FLAMES FROM EMISSION SPECTROSCOPYDOI: 10.1615/ICHMT.2004.RAD-4.430 Frederic Andre АннотацияAn optical diagnostic technique based on radiative transfer simulations is developed to infer characteristics of sooting flames from in-situ low resolution emission Fourier Transform Spectroscopy. The direct modeling is comprised of the application of a Statistical Narrow Band - Curtis Godson (SNB-CG) model for radiative properties of gases and the Rayleigh-Debye-Gans Polydisperse Fractal Aggregate (RDG-PFA) approximation for properties of soot particles and a solution of an integral formulation of the Radiative Transfer Equation (RTE). A Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used for the inverse analysis. The method is found to be accurate through the retrieval of temperature, gas concentrations and volume fraction of soot particles in the case of data simulated in the [900; 5000] cm−1 infrared spectral range. A preliminary application of the technique to experimental FTIR emission spectra of a laminar ethylene-air diffusion flame is demonstrated. |
