Краткое описание
Spray evaporation experiment was conducted using commercial nozzles distributing liquid ammonia on a horizontal plain stainless-steel tube of 1.9 cm diameter. The average local spray flow rate was measured, and varied from 0.0138 to 0.0777 kg/(s-m). The saturation temperature was tested from −23.3 to 10 °C, and heat flux from 8 to 60 kW/m2. The effects of heat flux, saturation temperature, spray flow rate, and nozzle height were investigated. Both standard-angle and wide-angle commercial nozzles were tested. The results are compared with pool boiling data obtained in the present experiment and published pool boiling and spray evaporation results.
